About this site

Tokyo and Kyoto immediately come to mind when planning a trip to Japan. Both are amazing locations with so much to do. However, many beautiful destinations near the two cities are often overlooked and less traveled. I started this blog and Instagram account to spotlight such locations. I may also end up traveling to the sites for my next Japan trip. In those cases, I'll create a more detailed post about my experience and itinerary.

Born and raised in California to Japanese parents, I deeply understand and respect the Japanese language and culture. Many of these locations don't have much English content, and I hope to act as a bridge to connect travelers with new locations🌈
